How to use MSM
The daily dose range
from 2 to 30 grams, depending on one's diet, body weight, condition of
health, etc. The precise dose is not critical as MSM is considered food
and not a medicine. The first week or two larger doses can be taken to
compensate a deficiency.
It is known that some
forms of minerals, particularly inorganic minerals, are poorly absorbed.
The organic sulfur in MSM is extremely well absorbed.
a portion of MSM binds to the mucosal membrane
receptor sites, the
rest is very fast absorbed into the bloodstream. Within 24 hours of administration,
the sulfur derived from MSM can be found in liver, kidneys and blood.
For those who have
arthritis or other similar degenerative condition, fibromyalgia, asthma,
digestive disorders including parasites, or other health problems, it is
best to detoxify first the system using higher doses of MSM to obtain faster
results. Lungs, considered one of the vital organs of the body, respond
much faster than arthritic joints. One can notice a difference in one's
lungs within 3 days, while other conditions such as arthritis will probably
take 2-3 weeks to see improvement. The longer it is used, the better the
results. The higher the amount used, the faster the result.
20-30 grams MSM daily. Dissolve 1/2 teaspoon of (aprox. 2,5gr) MSM into
1/4 liter of water. There is little taste. Drink at least eight 1/4 liter
glasses of MSM water daily, spread throughout the day before 18.00. This
is a total of 20 gr MSM.
Twice a day, first
in the morning and again in the afternoon, add a mineral supplement to
the water. This is needed to heal tissues. Especially important are potassium,
zinc, manganese, and calcium ascorbate (Vitamin C) and B vitamins.
Water is important
to flush toxins out of the body. More water, the faster the results, and
the fewer side effects will be experienced from the detoxification process.
Possible negative side
effects: Headaches and fatigue for the first few days due to the detoxification
process. If this occurs, drink more water. Do not be alarmed as this is
part of the natural healing process.
Take 10-20 grams MSM
daily. Drink at least four 1/4 liter glasses of MSM water daily. Twice
daily, add a mineral supplement to the water.
For therapeutic maintenance
take 2-10 grams MSM daily. (1 teaspoon = 4 gr)
Some authorities express
that sulfur is more effective when taken with Vitamin C, B Complex vitamins,
especially B-1, B-5 and biotin and electrolytes.
MSM is rated as one
of the least toxic substances in biology, similar to water.
If one takes more
MSM than needed, it simply passes through the body and
is excreted in the
urine. The excess of MSM won't harm. MSM has been widely tested as a food
ingredient without any reports of allergic reactions.
