Encounter in the Air

Was it the nearness of the ampleness?
    The space between your words?
The suitable distance of grasping sense?

What did I receive from your presence?
    Suspending energy, sensitive - unsusceptible
Words like drops on silent sea, forming rings - creating circles

Echo from near distance - far nearness
    groping softly to touch me
triggering tender waves in my receptive awareness

    Shifting motions - vibrating silence
by being surrendered - being sustained
surprisingly feeling the answer without question

The whole is there, parts are parts of the wholeness
like words, like drops - from you and me
    flowing together - in astonishment
